Lisa Chatfield new Head of Scripted Development

Pukeko Pictures today announced the appointment of Lisa Chatfield as Head of Scripted Development strengthening its content creation team.

April start

Starting in April this year Lisa will work closely with Pukeko Pictures’ Chief Creative Officer Martin Baynton and Head of Production Angela Littlejohn on the company’s development slate as well as television shows in production. Current Pukeko Pictures shows include Cleverman, produced with Goalpost Pictures for ABC TV Australia in co-production with Sundance TV and Red Arrow International, and ITV Studios co-production Thunderbirds are Go.

Chatfield most recently from New Zealand Film Commission

Most recently Lisa was the Head of Development and Production at the New Zealand Film Commission.  Films financed during her time with the organisation include Taika Waititi’s latest feature Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Sundance 2016 documentary hit Tickled, local box office success Born to Dance and New Zealand’s first animated feature doc 25 April.

With a 25 year career in both television and film, and experience on short films, TV commercials and feature films, Lisa has worked across both development and production on the domestic and international slates of Working Title Australia, NHNZ and Eyeworks NZ.  At 25 she produced the New Zealand feature film Scarfies (a New Zealand box office hit) and was the youngest producer at the time to receive production investment from the New Zealand Film Commission.  Earlier in her career she was a runner on the Oscar nominated feature Heavenly Creatures as well as working in children’s television in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to the role of Head of Scripted Development at Pukeko Pictures.  Lisa brings to her role a strong development and production background with experience in both film and television content for adults and children. Lisa will work closely with our talented development and production team led by Martin Baynton and Angela Littlejohn on our future television slate as well as our current line-up to continue to produce world-class internationally rich content,” said Pukeko Pictures’ CEO, Clive Spink.
