Deal With ITV Studios Global Entertainment Will See Major New Children’s Series Debut On Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK, Germany and Austria
Thunderbirds Are Go, ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures’ major new reinvention of the iconic children’s series, will launch in the US. It will be an Amazon Original Kids Series on Prime Video, following an exclusive, multi-year deal between Amazon and ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE).

The agreement will see the first 13 episodes ofThunderbirds Are Go launch on Prime Video in the US later this year. Subsequently it will debut on Prime Video in the UK, Germany and Austria.

Thunderbirds Are Go is a reinvention of the classic Thunderbirds series 50 years on from its TV debut. Featuring the world’s most famous family of heroes, International Rescue. Starring Rosamund Pike (The World’s End, Gone Girl) as Lady Penelope, Thunderbirds Are Go blasts the five brave Tracy brothers back on to television screens piloting their incredible vehicles into impossible rescues across the globe.
Produced by ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures in collaboration with world-famous Weta Workshop, the series is made using a unique mixture of CGI animation and live-action model sets. It’s delivering a new level of action-adventure animation for today’s audience while paying tribute to the legacy of model locations from the original series.
Thunderbirds Are Go has been sold to more than 40 countries worldwide, with Australia’s public service broadcaster, the ABC, the latest to acquire the series. There are also more than 75 licensees on board the consumer products programme globally. It has aired in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Netherlands, with the UK premiere on ITV and CITV attracting a consolidated audience of close to three million viewers.
